MUST HAVE FESTIVAL MAKEUP

Preparing a makeup look for a festival is by far one of the funnest and most creative things to do. Festival makeup is all about color and doing something that you don’t normally do like have a face full of glitter or blue lips. It’s all about going crazy and I love it.

Today I’ve decided to put together a few of my most festival makeup items that are attention grabbing and also affordable because we already know you’re bound to lose it somewhere on a field. All these items are drugstore and will get you looking amazing! Festival makeup really is one of my favorite types of makeup so I can’t wait to share with you guys my top favorite products for the ultimate colorful, sparkly, crazy festival looks.

Rimmel London’s Jelly Highlighter

I brought this for Parklife and omg I am obsessed. I did a whole post about it (RIMMEL LONDON’S JELLY HIGHLIGHTER  ) if you want to check it out in more depth. It’s sparkly and pink and is so easy to apply it is so essential for festivals and you can use it anywhere. It could be used for a collarbone glow, normal glistening face highlight or on your lids for a perfect glossy look and no it surprisingly does not sting AT ALL. It is 100% a festival must have makeup item.

NYX Glitter & Glitter Glue

There’s no better place to cover yourself in glitter than at a festival. If you love glitter eye lids you will love this makeup item. All you need to do is apply a layer of the glitter glue onto the lid and then with a brush apply the glitter on top. When thinking of festivals, you automatically think of faces and faces covered in glitter and if you end up having an ‘Alex from Glasto’ moment than I’m sure that the glitter will make you stand out 100 times more.

Barry M Colorful Liquid Eyeliner

These metallic liquid eyeliner’s are long lasting, pigmented and give off that festival vibe we’re all trying to achieve. They look good on their own and are perfect if you’re looking for a minimal festival look, as you can do a natural look only with a vivid color eyeliner which takes about 5 minutes but looked very effective. They have easy applicators too which I know is essential if you’re doing your makeup in a tent and don’t want to spend too much time on it. My personal favorite is the gold as I love boohoo type festival vibes and this color is perfect for that.

Rimmel London Stamp Tattoo

This is the easiest thing ever. It’s a tattoo stamp in the shape of a heart that you literally just stamp onto your face or body. It is soo perfect for festivals! I’ve used it as freckles before, detailing near my eyes and even on my collarbone so you can literally stamp it wherever you want it. It’s the most easy thing to use and it adds a cute little detailed effect to your festival look.

MUA Poptastic Eyeshadow Palette

I obviously had to include an eyeshadow palette in here somewhere as we ALL need a wee bit of color at festivals. This palette has the most colorful shades that you can create almost any look with. It’s also very affordable so you don’t have to worry about splurging on a new palette just to have a cool makeup look. It comes with 12 shades and an applicator and although the shades aren’t the most pigmented they are definitely buildable and you can really get some fun looks out of them.
