TRAVEL SKINCARE ROUTINE

Let’s start by including a bare face selfie where you can see for yourself how clear my skin is. I love investing into skincare and I always feel it is a crucial part of everyone’s morning and night routine if you want to maintain clean and healthy skin. Now, my skin’s still not perfect, and I’m still in the process of removing many blackheads but I’ve come a long way from how it used to be and I’m incredibly grateful for that.

This post is not a review on the products but simply my skincare routine, I feel as though to talk about skincare products well you have to first educate yourself on the ingredients and what works best with what and I haven’t yet done that. My skin type is a combination of oily and dry and I only tend to ever get break outs when I’m stressed or due on my Period, and I switch up my routine for them both.

5/6 of these products are from my Glossybox’s over the months and they’re all miniature travel size so they are very efficient to pack. When you’re traveling you don’t really want to bring your favorite full size skin care products with you everywhere so I always look for miniatures of the products I love, but in this case it was mostly first impressions as I always save travel sizes for holiday. Since I’ve been home I’ve stuck with this routine as I wanted to share my honest opinions on the effects of the products and I feel as though a week isn’t long enough to see results, so almost a month later here I am writing it.

I start off by removing all my makeup I’m wearing with this Gatineau Paris Gentle Eye Makeup remover that I won’t lie stings af but does the majority of the job. It takes off almost all of my makeup with a cotton pad and doesn’t make my face feel greasy after using it. I then wet my face with a towel and warm water to prepare it for the cleansing mousse.

To apply this Clinique rinse-off foaming cleanser I use the Sunmay electric Facial Cleansing Brush and blend it thoroughly around my face in circular motions. Once it’s everywhere and foamy I get the same towel with warm water to rinse it off and have a clean face in preparation to exfoliate.

I then used the Nip + Fab exfoliate Glycolic Scrub, applying it with the same electric facial cleanser in circular motions until it’s all over my face and then dab it away with the same warm watered towel. To glow, I use the Pixi Glow Tonic that is hugely raved about worldwide. I apply it with a cotton pad again all over my face until I feel as though it has every aspect of my skin covered.

Last but not least I use the Monu Skin Eye Cool Gel to wake my under eyes up a little bit. I normally only apply this in the morning but sometimes if my skin feels dry around my eyes I will apply some at night to hopefully wake up with them not feeling heavy and tired in the morning.

On one of the days I used this Patchology 5 Minute Sheet Mask to refresh my face and have a relaxation moment while I was there. I love any hydrating mask that makes me feel so much fresher after using it and when you’ve been out in the sun all day I can’t think of anything better than removing all your makeup and hydrating your face.

Disclaimer – This is NOT my regular skincare routine. I switch up my routine from time to time depending on how my skin is acting and the effects the surroundings have on me. My skin does not react the same while it’s in hot weather as it does in cold weather as well as being in the city or out in the countryside. It’s important to know what products are right for your skin and once I educate myself more on skincare I will do an in depth post of my updated routine.

Thank you for reading, and if there are any other brands/products you would like me to check out or any fashion post ideas then please leave a comment down below.
